Happy Post Valentine’s/Galentine’s/Singly Awareness Day everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful past Tuesday spent with your loved ones both young, old, or even just the same generation.
Since I did not have an official Valentine, I decided to give out Valentine’s to my favorite girls. This is a small gesture but I had fun designing and handwriting the cards and pairing them with my favorite flower. The flowers I gave out were only to those I saw as girls I spend time with or am really close to.
If you are reading this and did not receive a flower, I still love you regardless, we just have not gotten closer on an intimate level, which I hope will happen in the near future.
A lot of people mistake Valentine’s Day as just a day for couples and the day before discounted chocolates are on the shelves of stores. However, the biggest reason for the day is to spread love. This can be to your parents, your siblings, your friends, your boyfriends, your girlfriends, your co-workers, and even your pet. Valentine’s Day is the “day” to actively and outwardly show someone you love them to a certain degree.
To be honest, don’t just use Valentine’s/Galentine’s/Single Awareness Day to do that one thing you have been wanting to do to show you care. There are 364 days in the year that you can choose to show you love and/or care for someone. The 14th day of February is nice, but so is the day of your loved one’s birth, the day they get a big promotion, or the day that they just see as normal, but you find special.
No matter what day, don’t be afraid to choose love.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday ❤
